It is hugely satisfying when someone else gets pleasure from the home we have created in our own special little corner of France, so presented here, are some of the most recent un-edited remarks from our Visitors Book.
The most calming & relaxed holiday we've had! From the welcome and ongoing conviviality of our hosts, to the well-equipped gite in it's tranquil setting within the old farm walls and the surrounding area, we were lulled into the enviable charentais pace of life. If only I were a poet, and if only we could have stayed longer - but we shall be back, though hopefully when the pool temperature is somewhat warmer. We claim 1st prize for daily bracing swims in 21 - 23'C water! Many thanks Roy and Irene for sharing your little piece of bliss.

Irene & Roy, We want you to know how much we have enjoyed staying at your gite at L'Ancienne Ferme, which we found very well equipped and comfortable. We have had a wonderful week exploring the lovely towns and countryside, enjoying the local food, wine and cognac! We really appreciated the "Starter pack" of goodies. Thank you for sharing your piece of "paradise" with us.

There's very little doubt these days that we both love this part of France. This is our 4th annual holiday with Roy & Irene in their Gite. There's nothing to add to what we've already said, only that whilst the Gite and surroundings are perfection, it is Roy and Irene that make it special. Thanks to you both.

C'est trés beau - both the gite and Roy & Irene's hospitality! We have spent a fantastic week with you both. Thank you for being great hosts - going beyond the call of duty. I loved my birthday spent sipping cognac with you and Bernard (cognac producer friend). Sarah loved the plum jam even more! We will certainly recommend this area of France and spending time with you in your lovely home.

Excellent accommodation, excellent hosts. Everything in place & a place for everything even down to the small details of the lavender bags in the drawers. Beautiful garden & lovely swimming pool. A treat to find the "welcome pack" in the fridge. The only thing that could have made it better - a WiFi connection. (rectified)

Cottage & location absolutely stunning. Facilities thoughtful & perfect. Hosts - 10/10 - lovely. Phil & I have had a great time. The area has been beautiful. The people welcoming.
